My Mum and I were always as close as close could be, even despite the six hundred miles that lay between us latterly. I knew how much She loved me (too much) and she knew I loved her dearly. What I am unsure of is if she knew how tremendously proud I was of her. She was always an amazing Wife and Mother but, just as she watched me grow and develop, I too watched her develop into an accomplished academic, a skilled public speaker and a model professional. She was and is an inspiration to me in more ways than I can ever write here. She is a huge part of everything good that I have done, everything I do now and all I will do in the future. Somewhere deep inside I know that she will share in everything that is left to come in my life and in the lives of all those who were precious to her, of which there are many. She was and is a truly extraordinary Human Being and I miss her more with each new day that dawns.
